so on a day that i was looking forward to sleeping in on...i got up at 730. and have done a lot of nothing with a lot to do.
tye dyeing. painting. working on those damn anniversary poems. sketching. embroidering....my place has become an art project.
and i'm happy. surrounded by colors and silly music. and having two tvs on with the volume on mute.
oh and going for coffee with don. that was exciting. not only did i get 7 poems written but i found someone who's intriguing.
and the days not even over yet! ((((which is good 'cause i need to get those poems done by the end of the month....yes this is me procrastinating))))

with tears in her eyes,
the voice rings in her mind.
take out.
used papers.
tired old hearts silently pumping blood all over the floor-
the carpet was meant to be red today anyway.

there's no more time for hoping-
the candle's light has come and gone
and now the haunting voice of melody
rains over a clear sky.
talk about blue
and the images of ones self.

there's no use in trying to rewrite the book
when we've already burned the pages-
the wind our only reader, somehow mourns the loss of us,
knowing secretly that it will never be over-
not with these thorns stuck in our souls.

i reach out and only night holds me-
i see you.
i feel you upon my skin,
within my hair,
whispering in my ear all the memories of days-
all the memories of mistakes
and how i turned away
and how you burnt me.
the scar hasn't faded
but i've somehow forgotten where you placed it.
guess it's like my left shoe,
it just got tired of waiting.

tired of waiting
when it knows the journey's already over.
